Where is a good place to enjoy a short Christmas holiday in Puerto Rico? I’m a single person and would like to spend no more than $1000 after all is said and done.
You should stay in the city, San Juan, but stay away from the hotels. Go to VRBO, vacation rental by owner. http://www.vrbo.com/161766 I found this place in Isla Verde, that’s very close to the airport so taxi fair is inexpensive, it’s $115/ night and it is in a resort! It is inside the El San Juan hotel and casino. It truly is a fantastic deal and it has a kitchen, which also makes it budget friendly. There are grocery stores within walking distance. Staying in the condo on the ESJ property also gives you access to some of the hotels amenities. There is an inexpensive restaurant at the end of the main street through Isla Verde, across from the Ritz, called Metropol. Their food is great and their drinks are reasonably priced. Have a great time.
